Five!! The Minnow calls it Happy Cake. Guess that's fitting. The celebration spanned about a week, with a family party at home on the day of, treats at school at the end of the week, and a party with friends over the weekend. In NZ, kids start school the day after their 5th birthday (or any other date of the parents' choosing thereafter). First day of school for The Squidd is on Monday--day one of the new term. Exciting times!
