Mother's Day

Being mid-fall here in the southern hemisphere, heavy clouds and plentiful rain have frequently darkened many of our already-too-few daylight hours. That said, Mother's Day dawned clear and fine with broad blue skies and cheerful sunshine.

Rocky and The Squidd let me sleep in and then took me to brunch at The Cup Cafe, reputed to have the best views of Christchurch.

In the afternoon, after The Squidd's nap, we ventured to Hagley Park to bask just a bit more in the unseasonal warmth and pretty fall colors. All in all, it was a great day.

  2. Happy Mother's Day, Wordy. It looks like you enjoyed a grand day. We were thinking of you over here in the States. It's odd to see the fallen leaves there while the tulips, rhodies and azaleas are blooming here.
